Introduction of Guests (3 November 2026)

From Hansard (3 November 2026)

Manitoba MLAs Rick Wowchuk & Greg Nesbitt

Hon. Terry Jenson: — While I’m on my feet, Mr. Speaker, to you and through you, I’d like to introduce a couple of guests from next door in Manitoba. First, seated behind us here is Rick Wowchuck, the Progressive Conservative MLA [Member of the Legislative Assembly] for Swan River. He was first elected in 2016 and re-elected in 2019 and again in 2023. He’s currently the critic for Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures, and previously served as the legislative assistant to the Minister of Sustainable Development.

Mr. Speaker, I’d also like to introduce a colleague of Rick’s and somebody that I’ve considered a very good friend for a long time prior to entering political life. Greg Nesbitt is the MLA for Riding Mountain, and is currently the critic for Environment and Climate Change as well as Efficiency Manitoba. He also previously served as the minister of Natural Resources and Northern Development.

Mr. Speaker, it was a pleasure to join with several of my colleagues earlier today to sit down with Greg and Rick and discuss issues of policy. And certainly we didn’t talk about football; I’ll tell you that much. And it’s certainly a pleasure to have both of these hard-working gentlemen joining us here in Regina today.

I’d ask all members to join me in welcoming Greg Nesbitt and Rick Wowchuck to this, the Saskatchewan legislature.
